Dhurandhar: The Revenge first review: Ram Gopal Varma calls the film Sholay x 100

The first review of Ranveer Singh starrer Dhurandhar: The Revenge is out. Director Ram Gopal Varma, who has praised the first part of the film on multiple occasions, took to social media on Wednesday and called the sequel the “birth of a new cinematic order.” He even urged veteran filmmakers like Steven Spielberg and Christopher Nolan to watch the film “first day first show.”

RGV took to X and wrote, “After last nights watch of #Dhurandhar2 in terms of it’s sheer cumulative impact in every which way , whether on it’s expected collections , audience euphoria , social influences , cinematic grammar breaking , and above all the psychological audio visual impact , it will be a SHOLAY x 100 level magnificence and is bound to make all the greatest films made so far starting from MUGHAL E AZAM. onwards look like TV SERIALS.”

Also starring Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi, Dhurandhar: The Revenge will release in theatres on March 19.
