Recently, we reported about BookMyShow's Red Lorry Film Festival being set to take place from March 13 to 15 in Mumbai. Numerous films, including Indian and international, have been announced to be part of the festival. The latest development about it is that the festival has announced the popular film personalities who are set to attend it.
The prominent names who are expected to partake in it include Aamir Khan, Ali Fazal, Zoya Akhtar, Huma Qureshi, Ashutosh Gowariker, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Swapnil Joshi, Mukesh Chhabra, Bejoy Nambiar, Sriram Raghavan, and Ram Gopal Varma.
Notably, a screening of Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and starring Aamir, is set to take place at the festival. The Oscar nominated film's cast and crew are expected to attend the screening.
On the other hand, Ram Gopal Varma is set to present screenings of his films Bhoot and Shiva as part of a retrospective program of Red Lorry Film Festival.
Another film that will have a special exhibition at the festival is Death on the Nile, also starring Ali Fazal, which will happen as part of an Agatha Christie tribute, coinciding with her 135th birth anniversary. For the uninitiated, Kenneth Branagh directed Death on the Nile, a film adaptation of Agatha Christie's eponymous novel.
Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi is set to grace the red carpet at Red Lorry Film Festival for its presentation of her investigative drama Bayaan, hailing from director Bikas Ranjan Mishra.
At the same time, Zoya Akhtar is expected to attend the event for the presentation of her film Turtle Walker with its director Taira Malaney. Furthermore, Sriram Raghavan is set to partake in a festival session, presenting the film Night Creatures, which is an adaptation of the same book as for his 2024 film Merry Christmas.
