Ahaan Panday, who broke out in a major way with the musical blockbuster Saiyaara last year, had notably kept a low-profile for many weeks following the film’s success. In a recent interview, the actor revealed a major medical procedure that also had a part to play in it.
Speaking to Esquire, the Saiyaara actor said, “I actually got a whole surgery done after the release of Saiyaara last year. And it's one of the most painful surgeries you can do, with the longest recovery time.” The actor was attempting to fix an old injury (shoulder subluxation), which made it difficult for him to pursue his gym goals on a desired level, before he could commence shoot for his next film.
Ahaan also shared that he was warned by his doctors about how the surgical procedure would transform his physical progress in a severe way, how his body would go ‘back to zero.’ The actor recalled how he struggled to find motivation in the process of recovery. “This was different; I went from being injured, to not being able to move, to being able to lift," he added. And yet the actor stated that he wants it to be known he proved everyone wrong.
Currently, Ahaan is busy prepping for his next film, which is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. The film, billed as an action-driven entertainer, also stars Sharvari in the lead.
