Director Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role, has completed its 100-day theatrical run. Earlier this Friday, JioStudios celebrated the landmark with a special 100-day poster with a reference to one of the songs in the Dhurandhar sequel. In the celebratory post, they wrote in the caption, "100 days since theatres echoed with 'Honsla Eendhan Badla,' followed by a fire emoticon.
Recently, Dhurandhar and its sequel led the list of the most-viewed Indian films in the OTT space for 2026, according to a Sacnilk report. As per the report dating June 18, the first part and the second instalment in the spy franchise had 31.1 million and 16.9 million viewers on Netflix and JioHotstar, respectively.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues the story of Ranveer Singh's spy Hamza Ali Mazari in Pakistan. Even as he gains more clout in the political landscape of Lyari and beyond, Hamza lands in trouble as his real identity becomes known to his enemies. How Hamza navigates the troublesome situation forms the crux of the film's story.
According to Sacnilk data, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has earned more than 1800 crore from theatres worldwide over its 100-day theatrical run. It has reportedly become the second highest-grossing Indian film, second only to Aamir Khan's Dangal. However, it is the highest-grossing Indian film in a single original language. Add to this the box office collection of the first part, and the franchise has reportedly earned more than 3000 crore at the global box office. The bona fide success of the film has made Ranveer Singh an even bigger star across India.
The film's achievement is a rarity, especially in a day and age where most titles become available on streaming platforms in around a month after the theatrical release. Even a 50-day theatrical run is a remarkable achievement by today's standards.
