Actor Hrithik Roshan made a candid admission on social media on Thursday night. Sharing a selfie on Instagram, the actor revealed the role in his career that surprised him when he landed it. "Just got asked what's the kind of role I'm looking for. And I surprised myself when it came to me. Remember Zaffar from Luck By Chance? That's the one," Hrithik wrote.

Hrithik also said that he would like to take on roles similar to Zaffar if his filmmakers allow. "I'd jump on something like that. But directors only wanna see me play the good guy. Sad," he added.

In response to Hrithik's post, Luck By Chance director Zoya Akhtar wrote, "Let's get that coffee." Many audience members also praised Hrithik for his performance in the 2009 film.

Hrithik Roshan has a memorable cameo in the 2009 film, which marked Zoya's debut and stars her brother, Farhan Akhtar, and Konkona Sen Sharma as actors wanting to go big in Hindi cinema. Hrithik plays a film star with much insecurity and ego in the film. One particular moment in it where Zaffar looks through the window of his car still resonates with the audience.

The actor experimented for a few years since then, with similarly intense roles in films such as Kites, Guzaarish, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, and Agneepath. Another string of commercial films followed Agneepath before Hrithik experimented and failed with Mohenjo Daro and tasted success with roles with gravitas in Kaabil and Super 30. Since Super 30, he has been on a commercial spree with action-oriented films, although his role in Vikram Vedha has intensity.

It now remains to be seen whether his wish to play an intense role would come true.
