Ek Din, the Junaid Khan-Sai Pallavi starrer romantic drama which had a theatrical release in May, is finally available for streaming. The Aamir Khan production can now be streamed on Prime Video, where it began streaming earlier this morning.
Directed by Sunil Pandey, Ek Din is the official remake of the Thai film One Day (2016). The film follows Dinesh (Junaid) who secretly loves his colleague Meera (Sai Pallavi) but struggles to confess his feelings. However during a work trip to Japan, fate turns in Dinesh’s favour after a wish he made at a temple, to be with Meera for a single day, comes literally true.
Reportedly made on a budget of Rs 25 crores, Ek Din performally abysmally at the box office, garnering Rs 5.50 crores at the box office worldwide, out of which its nett domestic collections stood at Rs 4.30 crores.
In our review, we noted, “The film drags, gets predictable, gets generic and desperately starts trying to find a suitable ending which can’t come soon enough. The film seemed like a soothing ointment for all the violence and aggression that has been blaring out of the big screens recently. Even if it is not new, it felt nostalgic.”
Ek Din is Junaid Khan’s third feature film after Maharaj (2024) and Loveyapa (2025). The romantic drama also marked Hindi debut for Sai Pallavi, who is one of the most prominent female actors of Tamil cinema.
Penned by Sneha Desai and Spandan Mishra, Ek Din had Ram Sampath as the music composer and Irshad Kamil as the lyricist. The technical team includes Manoj Lobo as cinematographer, Ballu Saluja as editor, and Vikram Singh and Parul Rai as production designer duo.
