At the end of the first three days, Alpha earned Rs 57.60 crore across the globe

Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's latest spy-action film Alpha from director Shiv Rawail, has emerged out of its first weekend at the box office successfully, surpassing the Rs 50 crore milestone worldwide.

At the end of the first three days, the film earned Rs 57.60 crore across the globe, out of which Rs 41.76 crore came from India's gross box office collection. The India nett collection stood at Rs 34.50 crore. Alpha earned Rs 15.84 crore overseas.

While Alpha crossed Alia's previous film Jigra on its opening day on Friday by earning over Rs 15 crore, the film was the lowest opener among Yash Raj's (YRF) Spy Universe films. Since its release, Alpha has been receiving mixed to negative reviews for its story and screenplay.

According to the plotline, Alpha follows a highly trained assassin raised in isolation as a super-soldier by a rogue commander, when she discovers the dark truth about her family and her stolen childhood, she teams up with her long lost sister to take down her creator and his illicit military program.

An excerpt from our CE review of the film read, "After the abysmal War 2 (2025), the downward spiral for YRF’s spy universe continues with Alpha. The film seems an unnecessary, merely-for-gender-diversity addition to the already stretched franchise. For a film series walking on the footprints of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there is not a cheeky or inside joke in Alpha, which the MCU on the other hand made a brand out of."

Alpha is the seventh film in the YRF Spy Universe and the first female-led instalment in the line-up. The film also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. Hrithik Roshan also had a special appearance in the film, reprising his role as Kabir.
