In another of his classic elaborate ruminating posts on social media, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma coined a phrase for the much-anticipated box office clash between Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic, labelling it as ‘Dhuroxic.’

The filmmaker also penned an extensive note, listing the similarities and differences between the two films, and what impact could their clash on the workings of Indian film industry.

Taking to his X page, the Satya filmmaker methodically listed out the many ways in which Dhurandhar and Toxic are likely to contrast each other — be in terms of projecting its protagonist, depiction of violence, or use of camera. The filmmaker also called it an ‘ultimate clash between ultra realistic cinema and ultra unrealistic cinema.’

Ram Gopal Varma concluded his elaborate note with a few open-ended questions, suggesting that whichever film ends up as a bigger box office success, could possibly alter the course of Indian cinema.

Dhurandhar 2 is being directed by Aditya Dhar, who is currently busy wrapping up shoot for the Ranveer Singh starrer.

Meanwhile, Toxic is helmed by Geetu Mohandas who is known for films like Moothon and Liar’s Dice. The teaser for Toxic, which was unveiled last week, generated plenty of discourse on social media with its strong graphic visuals and stylistic violence.
