ZEE5 announces new true crime docu-series Honeymoon Se Hatya

Honeymoon Se Hatya will revisit recent disturbing crime cases in the country like Meghalaya’s Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi Case and the Meerut Blue Drum Case, among others

The teaser of Honeymoon Se Hatya, an upcoming true crime documentary series, was unveiled by ZEE5 on Tuesday. As per a press release shared by the makers, the show is a “a bold and unsettling exploration of real-life cases where wives killed their husbands.”

The series will revisit recent disturbing crime cases in the country like Meghalaya’s Sonam Raja Raghuvanshi Case, the Meerut Blue Drum Case, the Bhiwani Influencer Case, Mumbai’s Tile Case and Delhi’s Electric Shock Case.

The show aims to “shed light on marriages that began with promise but spiralled into violence, examining the emotional, social, and psychological factors that pushed these women to commit acts that shocked the nation.”

Talking about the docu-series, Kaveri Das, Chief Channel Officer &TV and Business Head Hindi ZEE5, said, “With Honeymoon Se Hatya, we are expanding our documentary slate into deeper, more emotionally charged stories. In today’s rapidly evolving social landscape, understanding the pressures within marriages, has never been more important. These stories highlight the fractures that often go unnoticed until it’s too late.”

Honeymoon Se Hatya will start streaming on ZEE5 from January 9.
