Despite big films arriving at the box office in past two weeks, Vadh 2, the mystery-thriller starring Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta has managed to hold its own, entering third week. The film largely received positive reviews from critics and audience alike. In an official statement, the film’s lead actors expressed their gratitude for the response to their film.

Sanjay Mishra said, “It feels incredibly special and encouraging to see Vadh 2 enter its 3rd week at the box office. The love is pouring in the form of messages, reviews, recommendations and it all reflects how deeply the film has connected with the audiences. Jaspal once again handled the storytelling with great conviction.” Vadh 2 is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg.

Sanjay’s co-star Neena Gupta too expressed her gratitude to the film producers Luv Films for backing the film and presenting it with confidence. “What excites me most is the love audiences are showering on Vadh 2. To see this become into a franchise and grow week after week is truly a beautiful reward in itself. Jaspal gave us an honest story, and we trusted his vision completely,” she added.

Billed as a spiritual sequel to the 2022 film Vadh, the mystery thriller grossed nearly Rs 5 crore at the box office worldwide. In our review for the film, we noted, “The biggest undoing for the film is its lack of surprises. Vadh 2 is pulpy but predictable. A thriller whose twists mystery aficionados can spot from miles before. However, the sequel does add on over its predecessor.
