Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, who will be seen sharing screen in Homi Adjania’s Cocktail 2, are reportedly also collaborating on another film. The project, untitled as yet, is being directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, who is known for films like Badhaai Do and Maidaan. 

According to Variety India, the Shahid-Rashmika starrer has an element of sci-fi. The two actors will be reportedly seen playing a married couple whose lives go haywire after a scientific experiment goes wrong.  Either the stars or the director are yet to officially confirm the project, or any other details.

The film, being produced by Sunil Kheterpal in association with Jio Studios, is expected to go on the floors in latter half of 2026. 

Shahid had a major theatrical release on Friday with O’ Romeo, the romantic-actioner directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. On the other hand, Rashmika’s upcoming projects include Ranabaali, where she will be seen collaborating with her rumoured beau Vijay Deverakonda. Additionally, there is also the action-thriller Mysaa.

Meanwhile, Shahid and Rashmika recently wrapped up their shoot for Cocktail 2, which is yet to get a release date. The spiritual sequel to Cocktail (2012) also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead.
