Ranbir Kapoor-Sai Pallavi starrer Ramayana remains one of the most-awaited Hindi film projects of 2026. While it was confirmed that Yash will play Ravana and Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman in the Nitesh Tiwary directorial, there still remained ambiguity about some other major roles in the film. Now it is being reported that Raghav Juyal has been brought on board for a crucial role.

According to Variety, Raghav Juyal will be seen playing the role of Ravana’s brother Meghnad in the film. The same report also states that the makers had initially approached Vikrant Massey for the part, but eventually signed Raghav after Vikrant couldn't do the film.

Raghav will only make an appearance in Ramayana: Part 2, though, which will release only next year. The first part, titled Ramayana: Part 1, is set for theatrical release in October 2026 meanwhile.

Raghav, who earned a lot of acclaim for his performance in Kill, was also seen in Aryan Khan’s Netflix series Ba***ds of Bollywood, sharing screen with Lakshya. The actor is also set to make his Telugu debut very soon with Nani starrer The Paradise that will release in March.

Other actors confirmed to be onboard for Ramayana are Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil and Kajal Aggarwal. While Ravi will be seen as Lakshmana, Arun and Kajal will be portraying the roles of Dashrath and Mandodari respectively, from the mythological epic. The ensemble cast also includes Lara Dutta Rakul Preet Singh, Sheeba Chaddha, and Kunal Kapoor.

Ramayana also remains a unique project for bringing together two musical stalwarts like AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. The film is produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations.
