If reports are to be believed, actor Vishal Jethwa, who was recently seen alongside Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor in Neeraj Ghaywan’s Homebound, is set to star alongside Saiyaara fame Aneet Padda in Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s next Shakti Shalini.
As per an India Today report, Vishal will be playing the love-interest of the female lead in the film, which is set to go on floors in March.
The report claims, “His character will play a key emotional and narrative role, acting as both a catalyst and counterpoint to the protagonist’s journey.”
This is not the first time Vishal and Aneet will be starring together. Aneet actually had a minor role in Vishal’s 2022 film Salaam Venky, where she plays his cute friend. In a chat with TOI last year, lauding Aneet and remembering their time together on set, Vishal had shared, “On the sets, we had to do a few emotional scenes, and she would cry without glycerine in every shot. Also, in the moments where she had to feel, she would really touch those emotions.
Shakti Shalini was officially announced in the end-credits of Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma (2025) last year.
