A few weeks ago, we had reported about Ranveer Singh commencing shoot for Pralay, his next big project after Dhurandhar. The film also marks Hindi debut for Kalyani Priyadarshan, who achieved national recognition with her 2025 film Lokah. On Friday, the Lokah actor shared an update on her Pralay shoot schedule.

Taking to her Instagram page, Kalyani shared that she spent the entire Onam week in Mumbai, locked in to Pralay, adding, “No Sadhya with the fam, no pretty white saree pics, no festive content. Here’s a dump of random things from the last couple months instead. Hope you all had a truly happy Onam.” Kalyani also shared a series of pictures, one of them being a photo from Pralay sets, where the bound script of the film could be seen on her table.

Billed as an apocalyptic thriller, Pralay is written by Jai Mehta and Vishal Kapoor. Interestingly, Pralay also marks Ranveer Singh’s debut as a producer, who is backing this alongside Ananya Birla's Birla Studios, True Story Films and Maa Kasam Films. More details about the primary cast and crew are yet to be announced. 

The project is set against the unmistakable pulse and landscape of Mumbai, seeking to marry breathtaking spectacle with a deeply human emotional core. At its heart is a journey of survival, courage and the instinct to fight for what matters most when the world as you know it begins to collapse.

Interestingly, Friday also marked the completion of 1 year since Lokah released. Directed by Dominic Arun, Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra also featured Naslen, Chandu Salimkumar, and Sandy Master in the primary cast. According to Sacnilk, the film played for more than 14 weeks in the theatres and grossed nearly Rs 304 crores worldwide.
