Akshaye Khanna's intense avatar as Shukracharya has been unveiled in the first glimpse from Mahakali.

Titled 'Shukracharya's War Cry', the nearly three-minute teaser from the much-awaited mythological spectacle introduces the world of the film where Akshaye Khanna takes on a never-before-seen role as Shukracharya, the guru of the Asuras.

The glimpse sets the stage for a powerful battle between Dharma and Adharma, as the forces of the divine find themselves locked in a conflict far greater than a mere clash between good and evil. Led by Shukracharya, the formidable guru of the Asuras, the battle hints at a larger war that could determine the fate of an entire world. With its ominous tone, powerful imagery of impending conflict, the glimpse signals that “the end begins,” setting the stage for the epic battle that will unfold in Mahakali.

The glimpse also offers a first expansive look into the grand visual world of Mahakali. Besides Akshaye Khanna, Sriya Reddy is seen in the form of a powerful goddess who plays a key role. This is the Dhurandhar actor's first film in Telugu. The film also stars Bhoomi Shetty, Rohit Saraf and several other prominent actors.

The film is part of filmmaker Prasanth Varma's Cinematic Universe, which began with Hanu-Man. Mahakali is directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru and features Bhoomi Shetty, Rohit Saraf and several other actors alongside Akshaye Khanna and Sriya Reddy.

Mahakali is presented by RK Duggal and produced by Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner. The film will be released in theatres on January 8, 2027.
