A day ahead of their country-wide release, the makers of Ohh My Dog have now announced their decision to hold special paid preview shows on Thursday, August 6. The special screenings will be held across 15 cities, with tickets priced at Rs 149.
The initiative gives audiences an opportunity to watch the film before its official release at an affordable price. Talking about the initiative, director Amit Rai said, "The love we have received from audiences across the country has been truly overwhelming. We wanted to extend that experience to even more people before the film's official release. These ₹149 preview shows are our way of making the film more accessible and inviting audiences to become a part of its journey from the very beginning. As far as I know, this is the first time a film has introduced paid preview shows like this on such a scale, and we hope it encourages more people to come together and enjoy a heartfelt family film in theatres."
The Ohh My Dog team earlier travelled across the country for special screenings in cities like Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur, Indore, Delhi, Pune, Patna, Ahmedabad, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, allowing early viewers to discover the film and organically spread the word through recommendations.
Written, directed and produced by Amit Rai, along with Rajesh Bhardwaj and Sana Warsi under the banners of Babulal Biscope and Thinking Hats Entertainment, Ohh My Dog stars Maahi Rai, Pankaj Tripathi, Geeta Aggarwal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Pavan Malhotra, Sulakhyana Baruah and Vijay Mishra, alongside canine stars Oscar and Bruno, and over 250 dogs.
Amit Rai has previously made films like Road to Sangam (2010) and OMG 2 (2023), with the latter starring Pankaj Tripathi and Akshay Kumar in lead.
