Imran Khan will soon be making his comeback to acting with Adhure Hum Adhure Tum, where he is paired with Bhumi Pednekkar. During a recent public appearance, the actor confirmed that he has wrapped up his shoot for the film.

Speaking at the Monsoon Film Festival, where he was attending an event about 15 years of Delhi Belly, Imran Khan said, “I have just finished shooting for the film. It's my first movie in 10 years and we're in post-production right now. It's called Adhure Hum Adhure Tum. It's for Netflix and is scheduled to come out end of this year. It's a grown-up romantic comedy... age-appropriate to where I am now."

Billed as a Netflix original, Adhure Hum Adhure Tum is directed by Danish Aslam, who previously collaborated with Imran on their 2010 film Break Ke Baad. The film derives its title from one of the songs of the 2010 film which also starred Deepika Padukone. However, it is not confirmed yet whether the film will have any select theatrical release before making it to the streaming space.

Also featuring Gurfateh Pirzada in the primary cast, the rom-com will mark the first collaboration between Imran and Bhumi. Incidentally, Bhumi made her film debut the same year (with Dum Laga Ke Haisha) Imran made his last major on-screen appearance in Katti Batti — in 2015. Directed by Nikkhil Advani, the romantic-drama also starred Kangana Ranaut in the lead.

Imran was recently seen in a brief cameo role in Vir Das’ directorial debut Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, which had a theatrical release in January this year.
