Sarath Kumar on Daadi Ki Shaadi co-star Neetu Kapoor: She brings effortless charm and honesty on screen

Sarath Kumar is making his Hindi debut with Daadi Ki Shaadi, which releases on May 8

Neetu Kapoor will be making her on-screen comeback with the upcoming comedy Daadi Ki Shaadi, the Kapil Sharma starrer comedy that releases on May 8. Among others, the film also features veteran south Indian actor Sarath Kumar, who plays Neetu Kapoor’s on-screen lover, making his Hindi film debut with the film. In a recent interview, the actor spoke about working with Neetu, among other subjects.

Talking about making his Hindi debut with Daadi Ki Shaadi, Sarath kumar said, “I have received immense love from the South, and with cinema today transcending boundaries, it felt like the right time for me to do a Hindi film, especially as my fans have been asking for it.” The veteran actor also showered praises on Neetu Kapoor, adding, “I couldn’t have asked for a better debut than sharing screen space with the incredibly talented and graceful Neetu ji. There’s an effortless charm and honesty Neetu ji brings on screen, it made this journey even more memorable for me.”

Further speaking about the film, Sarath Kumar added, “Daadi Ki Shaadi has all the flavours of love, drama and emotions, making it a complete family entertainer. I hope my fans and audiences embrace this new side of me.”

Daadi Ki Shaadi promises to be a film about celebration of family, the quirks, the chaos, the secrets, and the unconditional love.  Produced by Rtake Studios, BeingU Studios and Shimla Talkies, the film is written and directed by Ashish R Mohan.  The official trailer of the film was released earlier this week. The ensemble cast includes Sadia Khateeb, Aditi Mittal, Teju Kolhapure, Yograj Singh, Riddhima Kapoor and more. 

Sarath Kumar was recently seen in films like Dude (2025).
