Rapper King, Raashii Khanna starrer Lukkhe to have OTT premiere on this date

Billed as a musical action-drama, the series also marks streaming debut for Palak Tiwari

A few days ago, at the Prime Video 2026 slate event, the streamer had announced Lukkhe, a musical action drama series. Now the release date for the show has been announced. Directed by Himank Gaur, Lukkhe will begin streaming on May 8.

Marking the on-screen debut for eminent musical artist King, Lukkhe is billed is an adrenaline-fuelled action drama. Unfolding against the pulsating backdrop of Chandigarh, the series promises to blend high-octane action, gunfights, and raw musical energy, presenting a coming-of-age story shaped by pain, love, and ambition. “At its core lies a gripping tale of revenge and redemption, as rival rappers MC Badnaam (King) and OG (Shivankit Parihar) are locked in a deeply personal vendetta that blurs the lines between art and animosity,” reads the official synopsis.

The show also marks series debut for Palak Tiwari, who is Shweta Tiwari’s daughter. Lakshvir Singh Saran will feature in a key role, while the ensemble cast also includes Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Kritika Bharadwaj, Yograj Singh, and Ayesha Raza. Lukkhe is produced by Vipul D. Shah and Rajesh Bahl under the banners of Optimystix Entertainment and White Guerrilla LLP.

Talking about Lukkhe, show creators Agrim Joshi and Debojit Das Purkayastha said, “This has been a true passion project for us — one that pushes beyond the conventions of a typical action drama. Collaborating with Prime Video and an exceptionally talented, versatile cast has enabled us to bring this multi-genre story to life in a way that feels immersive, intense, and distinct.”
