Asha Bhosle: Kamal Haasan has become the latest to pay tribute to the iconic singer, Asha Bhosle, on her passing. The singer passed away on April 12, at the age of 92.

Kamal Haasan shared a video which was a compilation of photos, which featured Asha Bhosle and himself, in character from Chachi 420 (1997). Kamal had rendered the song, 'Jago Gori' composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, from the film's soundtrack, alongside Asha.

He captioned the video by writing, "Go forth, my forever singer friend."

Asha was hospitalised late on April 11, at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. Later, her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle, took to social media to clarify that the singer had been afflicted with extreme exhaustion and chest infection.

Asha, who began singing in low budget films, got her break with BR Chopra’s Naya Daur (1957). She also came from a singing family, with her sister being the late Lata Mangeshkar.
