BREAKING: Asha Bhosle hospitalised in Mumbai after chest infection; family shares update

The legendary playback singer is 92 years old

Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle was admitted to the ICU ward of Breach Candy hospital on Saturday evening, after she suffering from extreme exhaustion and chest infection.

Asha Bhosle's granddaughter Zanai Bhosle took to social media page to provide clarity about the singer's health, also dispelling any rumours about a cardiac arrest. She wrote, "My grandmother, Asha Bhosle due to extreme exhaustion and suffering a chest infection has been admitted to hospital and we request you to value our privacy. Treatment is ongoing and hopefully everything will be well and we shall update you positively."

According to reports, she had not been doing well for the past few months.

The legendary singer, who is 92 years old, continues to be revered as one of the most iconic music figures of Indian cinema, after a career of 70 years.
