Makers of RiteIsh Deshmukh starrer Raja Shivaji unveil new poster 

The big-scale historical drama, produced by Jio Studios and Mumbai Film Company, also stars Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan and Genelia Deshmukh among others

We had previously reported about Riteish Deshmukh’s Raja Shivaji slated for theatrical release on May 1. The Raja Shivaji makers also released their film’s teaser last week. Taking the promotions further, a new poster was unveiled on Friday.

The new poster is simple but striking, holding on intensity and offering a window into the world’s larger emotional canvas and setting the tone for the film’s patriotic setting. Recently, the makers had also unveiled a series of striking glimpses from Raja Shivaji, offering a peek into the life and legacy that India's one of the greatest warrior left behind.

The makers also announcement the release date for their film’s first single. Titled ‘Chhatrapati,’ the single will drop on Monday, April 13.  Composed by Ajay-Atul, a brief glimpse of the song was released, which carries a powerful, soaring soundscape designed for a grand big-screen experience.

Riteish Deshmukh also serves as the writer and producer, besides playing the lead role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, The film additionally brings together an impressive ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Abhishek Bachchan, Vidya Balan, Mahesh Manjrekar, Sachin Khedekar, Boman Irani, Bhagyashree, Fardeen Khan, Jitendra Joshi, Amole Gupte, and Genelia Deshmukh.

Raja Shivaji, a Mumbai Film Company production, is produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Genelia Deshmukh, and presented by Jio Studios. A historical epic based on the life and legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Raja Shivaji is set to release in Marathi and Hindi.
