Actor Tamannaah Bhatia has shared her thoughts on the opportunities that female actors get in the film industry.
Conversing with ANI, Tamannaah expressed her gratitude and happiness on her professional career and upcoming projects saying, "I'm really excited for all my features to come out one by one. It's very interesting, not many actors and maybe more so female actors, get this sort of an opportunity."
Reflecting on her two-decade-long experience in the industry, the actor remarked, "I still feel like I'm starting off all over again."
Tamannaah also shared her elation on being accepted with open arms in the South Indian film industry. "There's a sense of freshness, even for me as an actor. And I think even the audience is continuously sort of being so warm towards me and they've really accepted me so, so warmly. Largely because I had so much acceptance in the southern part of India," she said, adding, "But the kind of warmth I'm getting from all other parts of India is what is really, really exciting for me and also really humbling. And so I'm just constantly finding ways of how I can sort of give it back."
On the work front, she will be next seen in Vvan – Force of the Forrest, a folk thriller where she stars alongside Sidharth Malhotra. The film is a collaboration between Ektaa R Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms and Arunabh Kumar’s The Viral Fever (TVF). It is being helmed by Arunabh and Deepak Mishra, who earlier directed the web-series Panchayat.
She is also part of the V. Shantaram biopic, starring as yesteryear actress Jayashree.
