Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge is not only storming the box office but has also been the subject of quips and conversations. Recently, comedian Zakir Khan, while hosting an awards function took a dig at the Hindi film industry stating that while everybody might be praising Dhurandhar, they have actually felt a sting of jealousy.

On Sunday, Zakir took the stage at the Chetak Screen Awards 2026 as one of the hosts alongside Alia Bhatt and Sunil Grover. Although many clips from the function are beings shared on social media, one of them where Zakir is roasting Bollywood over Dhurandhar has garnered special attention.

"Kitne hi congratulatory post aap daal de, kitne hi story daalde, kitne hi interview mein aap bolde my favourite film, magar sach toh yeh hai ke Dhurandhar se sabki jali toh hai (You may drop congratulatory messages and stories and say in interviews that it's your favourite film but the truth is everyone got jealous of Dhurandhar),” Zakir is seen saying in the video.

He further joked, "Bomb film mein foote Lyari mein par dhuan udaa hai Bandra se Juhu mein (There were bomb blasts in Lyari in the film but there was smoke between Bandra and Juhu)."

While actors like Saurabh Shukla can be seen laughing on the joke, many others only gave muted smiles.

Dhurandhar won 14 laurels at the Screen Awards including Best Actor (Male) for Ranveer Singh, Best Director for Aditya Dhar and Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) for Akshaye Khanna.
