The official trailer of Dacoit, the upcoming Adivi Sesh-Mrunal Thakur starrer set for theatrical release next week on April 20, was unveiled on Saturday. Billed as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual, Dacoit is helmed by debut director Shaneil Deo.
The Dacoit trailer is cut in a very interesting manner, and maintains the intrigue without giving the plot away. By the looks of it, Adivi Sesh and Mrunal Thakur play Hari and Juliet, a pair of parted lovers who once shared a dream of building a life together. However, due to some events that remain a secret, Hari ends up in jail for many years.
When he comes out, circumstances bring the two back together, to agree to undertake a bank robbery plan together. However, as they are chased by plenty of forces, there is still plenty of unfinished business between the two lovers, they release.
Dacoit boasts a stellar ensemble cast, with Prakash Raj, Sunil, Kamakshi Bhaskarla, Zayn Marie Khan, and Atul Kulkarni on board. Additionally, Anurag Kashyap makes his Telugu debut with the film. While Sesh and Shaneil have co-written the story and screenplay, Abburi Ravi has penned the dialogues and is also credited with ‘script guidance.’ Yash Eshwari has penned the Hindi dialogues.
Bheems Ceciroleo has composed music for the film. Danush Bhaskar is the cinematographer, and Kodati Pavan Kalyan is the editor. Production design is by Sri Nagendra Tangala.
The romantic-actioner is produced by Supriya Yarlagadda under Annapurna Studios banner, in association with SS Creations and Suniel Narang Production. Releasing on April 10, Dacoit remains the only major Hindi release next week, considering Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla has been officially pushed to April 16.
