Veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt spoke about his grand-daughter, Raha and said that she will replace her parents, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor soon. Mahesh said that Raha is a ‘cross-breed’ and added that he is proud to have the DNA of his Muslim mother in him.
In an interview with Navbharat Times, Mahesh said, “Raha is now about to turn three. I would say she can even replace Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. She has that energy of life in her. Every generation is ahead of and faster than the previous one. When I look at Raha, I feel she carries a different kind of energy.”
He added, “I just met her yesterday. She’s a cross-breed, very special, and I believe the pride of Hindustan lies in this Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb (composite culture). I take pride in the fact that my Muslim mother’s influence has had a major impact on my DNA. This is a wonderful country where so many cultures co-exist together.”
Meanwhile, Ranbir recently celebrated his 43rd birthday. Speaking about how he celebrated the day, Ranbir spoke about it during Instagram Live session and said, “I spent the entire day with Alia and Raha and just did nothing. Raha made me promise that she will give me 43 kisses, so I got that and she made me a beautiful card. It really moved me. It was a perfect birthday.”
He also shared about his birthday trip and added, “Had a wonderful birthday last night. The last two days have been great because I was with my mother, Alia and Raha. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday. It was work-cum-vacation. I’m shifting to my new house so we did house shopping and made a quick 2-day trip with the family, and it worked out perfectly as it was at the same time as my birthday.”
