A few months back, a lot of drama ensued when Paresh Rawal announced that he is stepping away from Hera Pheri 3. The actor, who plays the iconic role of Baburao Apte in the film, left fans heartbroken and even faced legal trouble for his decision. Later, however, he came around and now is again part of the franchise.

Recently, talking to News18, Paresh spoke about if this back-n-forth affected his relationship with the film’s director Priyadarshan and also gave an update on Hera Pheri 3. Revealing the shoot schedule, he said, "It’s a work in progress. We’ll start shooting for the film in February-March next year."

He also asserted that nothing has affected his equation with the director Priyadarshan. “A lot has happened but that hasn’t soured my relationship with Priyadarshan. Aise rishta kharab nahi hota hai (Relationships don’t get ruined like this). In fact, what has happened is that it has further solidified our equation. Through all of this, we now know each in a sharper and better way. Ghaav bhar gaya hai (The wound has healed). Our relationship is very transparent," he said.

Previously, talking about the franchise Paresh had said, “When they were making Phir Hera Pheri (2006), they got over-confident. It shouldn’t have happened. Premise and characters like in Hera Pheri (2000) rarely come our way. Aur usko leke bada nazakat se, bada sambhal ke chalna chahiye (They should proceed carefully). It shouldn’t be robbed of its sanctity. When I was dubbing for Phir Hera Pheri, I realised ki humne ganda paap kar diya hai (We had done a sin). The situation was such that we did what we did in that film but we shouldn’t have," he had said.
