Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 actor Karishma Sharma has sustained injuries to her head and back after she jumped off a running local train in Mumbai on Wednesday. The actor was heading for a shoot when she jumped off the train as she realised her friends hadn’t boarded it. She is currently being monitored in hospital.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Karishma wrote about the incident and said, “Yesterday, while going for a shoot at Churchgate, I decided to catch the train wearing a saree. As soon as I boarded the train, its speed increased, and I saw that my friends were unable to board. Out of fear, I jumped and fell on my back, which caused a significant injury to my head.”

She added, “My back is injured, my head is swollen, and there are bruises on my body. Doctors have advised an MRI to check if the head injury is serious. I have been kept under observation for a day. I have been in pain since yesterday, but I am staying strong. Please pray for my speedy recovery and send me your love .”

The actor’s close friend posted a message from hospital, writing, “I can't believe this has happened to Karishma. My friend fell from the train. She doesn't remember anything. We found her lying on the ground and brought her here immediately. Doctors are still assessing her condition. Get well soon.”

Her friend also posted her video just before boarding the train and wrote, “Just right before the accident, I was taking her video. And now, seeing her like this.”

Karishma is known for acting in films like Fastey Fasaatey (2019), Ujda Chaman (2019) and Ek Villain Returns (2022). She has also acted in television shows like Pavitra Rishta (2014), MTV Webbed, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Silsila Pyaar Ka, among others.
