Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have got relief from Rajasthan High Court in the defective car case which was filed in Bharatpur recently. The court has put a stay on the FIR which was registered against the actors saying that it lacks a factual basis to hold the two accountable.

A complaint was filed earlier by a car owner who accused automobile company Hyundai of selling him a defective car and as Shah Rukh and Deepika were its brand ambassadors, they were named in the FIR along with six company officials.

Shah Rukh and Deepika challenged the FIR and approached the high court arguing that their association with Hyundai was limited to promotional activities and clarified that they had no role in the company’s manufacturing, technical operations and sales.
