Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat box office: Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic-drama, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has earned Rs 8.50 crore at the box office on Day 1, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. The film has been written and directed by Milap Milan Zaveri.

The film had an overall 39.51% Hindi Occupancy on Tuesday. After seeing a low turnout for morning shows, the film saw growth during the day as evening and night shows amounted to an occupancy of 47.16% and 44.76% respectively.

The romantic-drama clashed at the box office with Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna starrer, Thamma, which opened at Rs 24            crore on Day 1.

Harshvardhan’s 2016 romantic-drama, Sanam Teri Kasam, had re-released in theatres earlier this year in February and saw unprecedented growth at the box office as it earned Rs 32 crore in 16 days, becoming the highest grossing re-released film at the time.

Harshvardhan will also be seen next in Sanam Teri Kasam 2 and the actioner Silaa. He was last seen in The Miranda Brothers, directed by Sanjay Gupta, which was released last year on JioHotstar. 

Meanwhile, Sonam was recently seen in the multi-starrer comedy-drama, Housefull 5 which was released in theatres on June 6 earlier this year. The actor will be seen next in Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4 which is set to be released in theatres on September 5 and also has Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dosanjh's Border 2 in the pipeline, which will be out next year.
