Ali Fazal drops a Mirzapur-coded selfie on his birthday

Actor Ali Fazal celebrated his 39th birthday on Wednesday. To mark the occasion, he shared a string of selfies and one of them was with the cast of Mirzapur film. The photo shows Abhishek Banerjee, Jitendra Kumar, Rasika Dugal, Shweta Tripathi Sharma, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Gaur and Kulbhushan Kharbanda posing for the camera.

“Lets just call it a birthday season from now on. Come october we feast and break bread with some people we love. Thank you to the many many worlds from where i receive love.. and to this mortal one where you all make it so sweet and amazing,” Ali captioned the post.

“and a special msg to my two girls- Love,” he added.

As per reports, Mirzapur film is currently being shot in Varanasi.

Produced by Excel Entertainment, the film is expected to be released in theatres in 2026. Mirzapur: The Film was announced last year, and it was confirmed by the makers that it will feature Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj), Guddu Pandit (Ali) and Munna Tripathi (Divyenndu) along with Abhishek, who plays the role of Compounder. On the other hand, the third season of the show premiered last year on Prime Video.

The show was created by Karan Anshuman and Puneet Krishna and told the story of two brothers in the lawless land of Mirzapur, who end up offending the son of a local crime lord, igniting a series of events that alters the course of their lives forever.
