The trailer of the Huma Qureshi’s political-drama series, Maharani 4 was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. Directed by Puneet Sharma and created by Jolly LLB franchise director Subhash Kapoor, the show also stars Shweta Basu Prasad, Vipin Sharma, Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Shardul Bharadwaj, Kani Kusruti and Pramod Pathak in pivotal roles.
The trailer features a long conversation scene between the chief minister of Bihar, Rani Bharti and the Prime Minister, played by Vipin, as he comes to meet her. The two discuss political alliances and she asks him to stay away from her state. She threatens him not to shake hands with her enemy, otherwise she will dethrone him. Vipin then goes on speaking to a dove while sending a strong message to Rani for her refusal to work together. Then in a rousing dialogue, Rani declares that she is coming to Delhi, urging the PM to brace himself.
Speaking about the show, Huma said in a statement, "Rani Bharti’s journey has always been about defying the odds, but this season, her ambition hits a whole new level. From homemaker to CM, she shook Bihar’s political ground. Now, she enters the nation’s toughest battlefield.”
She added, “Maharani 4 isn’t just the next chapter; it’s her boldest leap yet. The stakes are national, the power games more brutal, and every move could make or break her. It’s the most daring, intense, and unfiltered version of Rani we’ve ever seen, and I can’t wait for audiences to witness her evolution on Sony LIV."
Produced by Kangra Talkies Pvt. Ltd, Maharani 4 will be released on Sony LIV on November 7.
The first season of the show aired in 2021 followed by the second season in 2022 and the third one in 2024.
