Hema Malini took to social media on Thursday to remember her husband, the veteran actor Dharmendra. The star, known as the ‘He-man’ of Hindi cinema, passed away on Monday (November 24).

Malini took to X on Thursday and wrote an emotional post for Dharmendra. Calling him her “go to person”, she wrote, “He was many things to me. Loving Husband, adoring Father of our two girls, Esha & Ahaana, Friend, Philosopher, Guide, Poet-in fact, he was everything to me.”

Describing how Dharmendra had “humility in spite of his popularity”, she wrote, “He endeared himself to all my family members with his easy, friendly ways, always showing affection and interest in all of them. As a public personality, his talent, his humility in spite of his popularity, and his universal appeal set him apart as a unique icon unequalled among all the legends. His enduring fame and achievements in the film industry will last forever.”

“My personal loss is indescribable and the vacuum created is something that will last through the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with myriad memories to relive the many special moments…” she concluded.

Dharmendra was admitted to a hospital on October 31 when he complained of breathlessness. He was later discharged on November 12 and was recuperating at home. He passed away on November 24, just two weeks shy of what would have been his 90th birthday.

Dharmendra and Malini married in 1980. They have two daughters together Esha and Ahaana Deol.
