As Abhishek Bachchan's I Want To Talk turned one yesterday, the actor recalled the experience and said he is "genuinely grateful for every silence, and every honest conversation it brought" his way.
He added that the filming for the movie has taught him "more about people" and himself than he expected. He also went on to thank the people for "listening, for sharing, and for allowing a simple idea to become something beautiful".
Released on November 22, 2024, the film revolves around the complex relationship between a single father, Arjun Sen (Abhishek) and his daughter, Reya (Ahilya Bamroo), as he develops laryngeal cancer. With the cancer spreading all over his body, he is given just 100 days more to live, during which he learns to appreciate life and celebrates each day. Things between him and his daughter get better in the meantime as he defies medical journals and death to live beyond the deadline fixed for him.
I Want To Talk, directed by Shoojit Sircar, also starred Ahilya Bamroo, Johny Lever, Pearl Dey, and Jayant Kripalani. The technical crew of the film, produced by Rising Sun Films and Kino Works, comprises cinematographer Avik Mukhopadhyay, music composers George Joseph Koyna (score) and Taba Chake (songs), and editor Chandrashekhar Prajapati.
