Anticipation is building for creators Raj and DK's The Family Man 3, the third season of Prime Video's detective series. Ahead of its release on November 21, creators Raj and DK spoke about the unique aspects of the third season. In the upcoming season, Manoj Bajpayee's character Srikant Tiwari travels to the northeast side of India for a new mission. Discussing the new setting, co-creator Krishna DK said, "It's been building up for a while, and we've put our hearts into it. We had already announced at the end of season two that the North-East is where we want to go with the next season. So we were clear about that. The location, the people, and the culture are all part of the DNA of the show, whichever season you pick. Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, and all these places in season three, you need that energy from the place." According to the makers, the setting is sure to ensure "a fresh and visceral viewing experience" as Srikant deals with new threats against the nation.
However, the makers claim that the rivalry between Manoj's hero and Jaideep Ahlawat's antagonist is the main attraction in the upcoming season. Speaking about it, Raj shared, "Manoj and Jaideep are coming together, two stalwarts of Indian cinema. Really top actors."
According to the creators, Jaideep's character is "a dark reflection" of Manoj's TASC agent and poses a deeply personal threat to the latter that contrasts with him in terms of its ideology. Speaking about this aspect, Raj shared, "Rukma became the main character, the main antagonist, where he is almost the opposite of Srikant; he also has a girlfriend and a kid, a sort of a 'non-family' family."
The Family Man 3 also brings back Priyamani and Sharib Hashmi who reprise their roles as Suchitra and JK, respectively.
