Actor Akshay Oberoi will be playing the lead in a psychological thriller film called Resident. Directed by Akash Goila, the film is described as a “gripping and unsettling journey into the human mind.”

Speaking about the project, Akshay shared, “I’ve always been drawn to stories that challenge me as an actor, roles that demand emotional depth, unpredictability, and a bit of risk. Resident is exactly that kind of film. It’s a psychological thriller that doesn’t just rely on fear or suspense, but digs deep into the psyche of its characters.”

Akshay was last seen in the Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor headliner Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. The film also starred Sanya Malhotra.

“After Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari, which had a completely different tone, I wanted to immerse myself in something intense and thought-provoking. Resident gives me that opportunity. I can’t wait to begin this new journey,” he added.

The other cast and release date of Resident are still under wraps. The film has been produced by Filmeraa.
