The first look of Varun Dhawan from his upcoming war-drama film, Border 2 was unveiled by the makers on Wednesday. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is headlined by Sunny Deol and also stars Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, Mona Singh and Ahan Shetty in pivotal roles.

In the poster, Varun is donning the army uniform and holding a gun as he runs on the battlefield with an intense expression on his face. Sharing the poster, the makers wrote, “Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar! (Border is his responsibility and Bharat his love)”

Earlier on August 15, Sunny’s first look from the film was unveiled which featured him firing a bazooka with fierce intensity. At the time, the makers had announced a new release date of the film, shifting it a day earlier from January 23, 2026 to January 22. Now, as per the new poster, the film's release date is shown to be January 23 again.

Backed by a production team including Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, Border 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar & T-Series, in association with JP Dutta’s JP Films.

Meanwhile, Varun was recently seen in a special appearance in Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s horror-comedy, Thamma, which was released in theatres on October 21. He also headlined Shashank Khaitan’s romantic-comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumar which came out on October 1.

He will also be seen next in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which marks his fourth collaboration with his father, veteran director David Dhawan. The film will be releasing on June 5 next year.
