Shah Rukh Khan took to social media to announce that he will not be greeting fans in front of his house Mannat, in Mumbai, on the occasion of his birthday.

Taking to his X handle, the actor wrote, "Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me. My deepest apologies to all of you but have been informed that it is for the overall safety of everyone due to crowd control issues."

He concluded the note and wrote, "Thank you for understanding and believe me… I will miss seeing you more than you will. Was looking forward to seeing you all and sharing love. Love u all…"

On the occasion of his birthday the teaser for his next film King was released, showcasing the actor sporting grey hair. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film is the actor's next after the 2023 film Dunki.

The actor received a National Award for Best Actor in a leading role for his performance in Jawan. He shared the award with Vikrant Massey, who won it for 12th Fail.
