Reportedly, Dahaad season 2 is only at its scripting stage, with the makers planning on having a bigger production scale for it

As per an exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter India, Prime Video has renewed its series Dahaad for a second season, the production of which will commence soon. The original series, released in 2023, revolves around a police officer (Sonakshi Sinha) looking into a series of missing cases at a village in Rajasthan. The series, hailing from creators Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, also stars Vijay Varma and Gulshan Devaiah in key roles. Dahaad is the first web series from India to have a premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival, in which it vied for the Berlinale Series Award. The series earned critical acclaim, with film buffs and reviewers making a special note of Vijay's performance.

The creators are yet to confirm whether the second season will bring back the original actors. It reunites Zoya and Reema with Prime Video after Superboys of Malegaon, which hit the streaming service after its theatrical run this year.
