Shah Rukh Khan’s Met Gala look left social media divisive. While the fan pages were hailing SRK’s debut at the global fashion stage, many netizens were unimpressed with his outfit. The star, however, took to social media recently to thank his designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee and also state that although he felt like the Met wasn’t his “space”, he believes that style and fashion is just about being yourself.

Shah Rukh shared some photos of his look on Instagram and wrote, “Thx @sabyasachiofficial & ur whole team for introducing me to the Met Gala. It’s not my ‘space’ but u made me feel so comfortable…becos u, like me, believe…Style & Fashion…is just being who you are. And all of u made me feel like a ‘K’!”

In an interview with The New York Times at the event, SRK admitted to being “nervous”. “I’m wondering if I can run away from this now,” he said. Shah Rukh added that he is not a fashion devotee. “I’m a jeans-and-T-shirt person.”

Apart from SRK, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani also made their Met Gala debuts this year.
