The teaser of Jitendra Kumar’s web series Panchayat Season 4 was unveiled by the makers on Saturday. Created by Deepak Kumar Mishra, Chandan Kumar (also writer) and directed by Akshat Vijaywargiya and Deepak, it also stars Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa and Swanand Kirkire in pivotal roles.

The teaser opens with a voiceover about how India is the biggest democracy. It further reveals that it is election time this time in Phulera, the fictional town where the series is set. The characters of Pradhan (Raghubir) and Bhushan (Durgesh Yadav) stand for the election and battle each other. There are visuals of voting, campaigning and speeches being said by each party.

The synopsis of the show reads, “Amid intense village panchayat elections, Pradhan and Bhushan’s camps battle through sharp political moves. As Abhishek sheds his neutrality, both his future and Pradhan’s hang in the balance.”

The series is produced by TVF with Deepak, Vijay Koshy and Shreyansh Pandey serving as executive producers. It will be released on Prime Video on July 2.
