Manoj Bajpayee to star in Vipul Amrutlal Shah's political-thriller Governor: Report

The film will commence shooting from July or August

Manoj Bajpayee is set to star in Vipul Amrutlal Shah-backed political-thriller Governor, as per a report in PeepingMoon. The film, set to be directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, will commence shooting from July or August. Manoj will play the lead role of a governor in the film. It has been in development for the past two years and casting for other key roles is currently underway. The film is produced by Vipul and co-produced by Aashin Shah. More details from the film are awaited.

Meanwhile, Vipul is also gearing up for his upcoming directorial, Hisaab, a heist-thriller starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Shefali Shah in pivotal roles. It is expected to be released in the later half of 2025.

Manoj was last seen in Kanu Behl’s crime-thriller Despatch, which released on ZEE5 last December. He also has Season 3 of Family Man in the pipeline. Along with that, he will also be reuniting with Ram Gopal Varma for a horror-comedy titled Police Station Mein Bhoot.
