Sonakshi Sinha will be making her Telugu film debut with Jatadhara. The makers unveiled her first look from the film to make the announcement. Headlined by Sudheer Babu, the film is written and directed by Venkat Kalyan. It is touted as a supernatural thriller.

In the poster, Sonakshi is seen wearing a lot of jewelry and a traditional attire as only her eyes are visible. The makers captioned the post, “This Women’s day a beacon of strength and power rises in Jatadhara! Welcome aboard Sonakshi Sinha.”

The film will reportedly explore the mystery of the Anantha Padmanabha Swamy Temple, dealing with the legends and theories surrounding the temple's mysterious powers. It is produced by Zee Studios, Umesh KR Bansal, Prerna V Arora, Shivin Narang and Nikhil Nanda.

Sonakshi was last seen in the horror-comedy Kakuda, which released on ZEE5, in 2024. She also starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar which released on Netflix last year.
