Namastey London was a hit when it originally released and was among the top ten grossers of 2007. In the film, Akshay plays Arjun “Ballu” Singh, a boisterous Punjabi boy who gets married to Jasmeet “Jazz” Malhotra (Katrina Kaif), an anglophile.

The film was also famous for its songs like ‘Chakna Chakna’, ‘Veeraniyan’ and ‘Yahi Hota Pyaar’, composed by Himesh Reshammiya.
