Veteran Hollywood actor Robert De Niro attended the premiere of Anupam Kher’s upcoming directorial Tanvi The Great in New York recently. The film was screened at the New York Indian Film Festival.
Anupam took to Instagram to share photos with Robert from the premiere. He wrote in the caption, “World’s best actor attends premiere of Tanvi The Great in New York. What else can an actor/director ask from the God! Thank you dearest Tiffany and Mr. Robert De Niro for attending the premiere! It easily is the highlight of my entire career. I am still in shock. But then I also say na ‘KUCH BHI HO SAKTA HAI’! Jai Mata Ki!”
The two have shared the screen in the romantic-drama Silver Linings Playbook (2012).
Tanvi The Great marks Anupam’s second film as a director after the 2002 family drama, Om Jai Jagadish. It stars debutante Shubhangi along with an ensemble of actors like Iain Glen, Jackie Shroff, Boman Irani, Arvind Swami, Pallavi Joshi, Nasser, Karan Tacker. Apart from taking up directorial duties, Anupam is also acting in the film.
It is set to be released in theatres on July 18.
