The teaser of Huma Qureshi’s upcoming film, Baby Do Die Do was unveiled on the actor’s birthday on Monday. It is the first film produced by Huma and her brother Saqib Saleem under their banner Saleem Siblings. The film is directed by Nachiket Samant who has also written the screenplay with Gaurav Sharma.

The teaser gives a brief glimpse into the film where Huma plays a female assassin, Baby Karmarkar, which when translated to English becomes the title of the film. It begins with a woman in a burqa walking around in a parking lot as seen from the perspective of a CCTV camera. It is revealed that Baby has run away from some place to attend a funeral. Baby is then seen with a sniper as she takes a shot. Later in a train, she is referred to as “female hitman” by a person who is corrected by another one who says, “It’s female hitwoman silly”.

Saqib shared the teaser on Instagram and wrote a note for Huma on her birthday. He said, “Huma, it’s your birthday today and somehow the universe decided this is the day the whole world finally sees the Baby Do Die Do Teaser. This time, it’s out there. Big screen. Big scale. Big risk. And you’re right at the center of it owning every frame.”

He added, “Through the madness, the silence, the chaos you didn’t just act in this film you became it. As a producer, I know what it took to pull this off. But as your brother, I’m just standing here in awe.”

Baby Do Die Do is touted to be a neo-noir comedy which also stars Sikandar Kher and Chunky Panday in pivotal roles. The film’s release date has been kept under wraps.

Huma was last seen in the third season of her web-series Maharani. She also did a song cameo in Rajkummar Rao’s actioner, Maalik. Meanwhile, Saqib was last seen in Sudhir Mishra's web-series Crime Beat.
