Triptii Dimri opened up recently about her character in Dhadak 2 and what she learnt after doing the film. The actor said that playing the character of Vidhi helped her open up more to take a stand for right things. The film is directed by Shazia Iqbal and also stars Siddhant Chaturvedi.

Speaking about her character in the film, Triptii said, “For me, she is Vidhi. She is not afraid to speak her truth. There is so much to learn from her because she makes you feel empowered. I have been an introvert. I’ve seen and faced things, and not raised my voice against them. For 30 years of my life, I have kept quiet about so many things. I never had the guts to tell people that it’s wrong.”

She added, “I told Shazia that I want to be like Vidhi; that by the end of this film, I should have the courage to speak my truth without being scared of anyone or the outcome. Now, I do stand up for the right things. This film made me open up a lot more.”

Dhadak 2 is a Hindi remake of Mari Selvaraj’s 2018 Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal and is produced by Karan Johar, Umesh Kumar Bansal, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Meenu Aroraa, Somen Mishra and Pragati Deshmukh.

After Dhadak 2, Triptii has Vishal Bhardwaj’s next with Shahid Kapoor, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit opposite Prabhas in the pipeline.
