Jyotika becomes the latest actor to praise the Mohit Suri directorial, Saiyaara. Taking to her Instagram stories, the actor wrote, “In the era of action-packed films, blood and gore, and item songs, here comes a film with emotions, music, and writing so pure that it takes us into a world of love, emotions, and selflessness.”

She then gave a special mention to Mohti Suri’s assistant director on the film, Sankalp Sadanah. “So proud of you, my bro Sankalp Sadanah, for this soul-stirring story and screenplay. Mohit Suri, Aneet, and Ahaan, congrats to the entire team. Truly this film is a Saiyaara of Hindi cinema.” (sic)

Jyotika praises Saiyaara

Jyotika is not the first to laud Saiyaara, as Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Aamir Khan, Sukumar, Ranveer Singh, Mahesh Babu, and Alia Bhatt have already showered praises on the film and performances of the lead actors, Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday.

Saiyaara tells the story of a romantic relationship between a musician (Ahaan Panday in his acting debut) and a journalist (Aneet Padda). An excerpt from CE’s review of the film reads, “Aneet effortlessly steps into the mould of the demure Suri heroine, while Ahaan, although a bit green, shows promise. The actors’ performances are patchy, but it’s not a lost cause. Ahaan is less convincing when he bursts out and more evocative in sombre moments.”

Loosely based on the 2004 Korean film A Moment To Remember, the film also stars Geeta Agrawal Sharma, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, and Sid Makkar, among others. In just nine days since its release, the romantic drama has overtaken Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2, and Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 and has become the second highest grosser of the year, only behind Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava.
