Earlier reports stated that Shah Rukh Khan has sustained an injury during the shoot for King. There were also claims stating that filming has been paused as SRK has flown to the United States for treatment. However, fresh updates now state that it is not true.

An NDTV report states that Shah Rukh hasn’t been injured. A source close to the actor shared, “The rumours of Shah Rukh suffering a back injury on the sets of King are completely untrue." They explained that the actor does deal with old injuries flaring up once in a while, and he travels to the US for regular check-ups and treatment when needed. So, this trip is an ordinary one.

“It’s not a serious injury, but more of a muscular strain," another source close to the production shared. “Over the years, Shah Rukh has picked up multiple injuries from stunt work, and this seems to be a result of accumulated stress."

King is being directed by Pathaan (2023) director Siddharth Anand. The film will also mark the big screen debut of SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan. There’s also buzz that the film features a star-studded cast including Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma. However, an official announcement is still awaited.

Shah Rukh was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film starred Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal among others.
