Actor-filmmaker Anshuman Jha recently announced that actor and former Miss India, Sarah Jane Dias, has joined the cast of Lakadbaggha 2 – The Monkey Business. Last week, Anshuman took to social media to make the announcement, where he wrote that the Lakadbaggha pack is getting “fiercer and stronger” with Sarah's entry.
Sarah was recently seen in the SonyLIV series Kankhajura. Previously she has featured in shows like Inside Edge (2017-21) and also has Angry Indian Goddesses (2015) in her filmography.
Anshuman expressed his enthusiasm about the casting and said, “Sarah brings a quiet storm to the screen. Her strength, elegance, and depth make her a perfect fit for the world of Lakadbaggha.”
Sharing her excitement about joining the film, Sarah added, “I loved Lakadbaggha. The moment I heard about the concept of the Animal Lover Vigilante Universe expanding, I was excited. It’s rare to find a project that blends action with a genuine purpose, protecting the voiceless.
The sequel, directed by Anshuman Jha, continues the story of India’s first animal-loving vigilante, this time delving into the dark world of illegal primate trade and a global conspiracy. The film also stars Ridhi Dogra and Chinese actor Sunny Pang.
Lakadbaggha 2 – The Monkey Business is currently in production and is slated for a theatrical release in winter 2025.
